I have a tiny chicken that's 1 month old. His/her upper beak is very hooked much like a parrot. I believe that is why it is very light weight in proportion to the other pullets.

Can its beak be trimmed like a dog's toenail?

Thank you,

Yes, it can be trimmed. Look carefully though because if done too short, you might cut the blood vessel. If you do cut and it bleeds, you can cauterize it for 2 seconds just to make the bleeding stop. Just like the dog's nail, cut only the white portion. Also, make sure to correctly alignment the upper and lower beak so that the poor chick can feed properly. I commend your keen observation on the probable problem of this chick.
