According to me the Blue leghorns weren't bred in different pens for pullets and roosters.

Following this. My breed is Araucana. Yellow skin is the standard but some of mine end up with really pale, near white skin. Looking for causes to be able to correct it.

My white variety is what I'm working on now. I bought a white rooster and bred him to some of my black hens, planning to keep back only pullets to breed back to the white rooster. What happened was startling, See this thread

The thing I'm trying to understand.... does this new barring locus "clean up the black or smutty color" off of the legs or does it make yellow legs paler?
