What do you think about the wattles? They seem odd to me. This is a Tomaru cockerel I was growing out. The others don't have this type wattle.

I had some cockerels last year who had 2 wattles, but only one of them developed normally, and the other one stayed small

I'll need to catch him and look him over better. He has free ranged since pretty young, I had several Tomaru growing out to assess crow quality and he was to be on the chopping block as his crow is not long. I'll catch him and take better pictures.

Looked through the pictures I'd snapped of him the same day and enlarged and cropped some. Are the wattles just deformed or poorly developed? In this same group, I have one that is rumpless....not Araucana cross. Rumpless. I asked Julia Keeling about it and she said some of the pure ones in Japan were rumpless.

It looks like there are two wattles, just not much developed.
Are you sure he is rumpless or just tailless? I have a pullet who began growing her tail in her 5th month. I thought she was rumpless too. Never seen anything like it before in my entire life. Just when you think you have seen it all...

Have a nice video of Jungle Fowl that just popped up. Pictures of a number of varieties with very interesting combs and wattles. No web address, but I moved it to my Facebook page and I think it would SHARE, if any wish to MESSAGE your email address, I will Share it.
