Yesterday I moved my brooder that i had in our backyard. it had maggots in it where the food got wet and fell on the ground. When I moved it some of my chickens and ducks decided to make a meal out of them anyways will it hurt them.

Not if they are fresh, if the feed is spoiled them botulism can be a factor.

lots of protein in those maggots. they are only bad if they get into a wound on your birds. eating them is fine.

If the food is on the ground and wet it is no good in my opinion. I would not trust it.
