My standard response....honey. Good old honey, the kind you put in your tea, or any kind you have around the house. If your honey is thick and stiff, warm it a little so it's more liquid and drip it in / on the wound. Keep that wound coated in honey for three or four days before you decide to take a knife to his comb. It's cheap, available and doesn't sting or smell bad. Has anti-bacterial properties. I swear by it. smile
