Hi Be,

To quote blackdotte
Salmon Flaverolle is a silver wheaten
- from "Silver wheaten" (;f=3;t=001791#000008)

Personally, I can't comment on this (no experiences with any sort of Faverolles) and I've often wondered the same thing myself.

The Salmon Flaverolle is basically a Silver Wheaten ,Standards differ slightly in the USA,UK,Germany & France but basically the males are pure for Wheaten,Silver and Dilute, but split for Autosomal Red ,Mahagony.American males are often pure for Dilute. Hens are more variable being basically the same as the male but may be pure for any of the genes the male is slit for.

In my view and after having worked with them, Salmon Faverolles are Silver Mahogany Wheatens.
