I just found a listing for this show on another site, and although I've a query in to them, I would like to ask here also. They are scheduled to have a show in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on March 22nd. I've only ever been to one poultry show and I'm not a fancier, although I enjoy looking at any critter, and have decided that I would like to have a few LF Cochins.

I'm also a pedigree snob laugh .

IOW hatchery chicks just won't do (every animal I've had for the past 20 years has been "papered," most from show stock if not actually shown themselves.) IOOW, I would like the cochins to look like what a cochin should look like while being just "bad" enough to not be a show contender so A) I won't feel guilty about taking it out of the circuit and B) I won't have to pay an arm and a leg for it. So ... Would this, the West Alabama Poultry Show be a good sized show? Worth the drive? (I estimate it's about 60-90 minutes from me.) Are there likely to be LF Cochins for sale there? Thanks!
