I am firing up the GQF (late) and my pilot light is constantly flashing. The room is 70 deg. plus, and the incubator is holding a temperature. I am accustomed to the box coming to temperature, then shutting off for a period.

Even if I turn the dial to reduce the thermostats ideal temperature, there is a short pause and then flashing again. It should wait until the temperature drops to bring the element on again.

I read once that this was a sign of a bad element, or pilot light, or thermostat, but don't remember which. Any advice?

I was under the impression that with an electronic thermostat that was what is was supposed to do. The wafer is more delayed, mechanical vs. electronic. Sounds like the battle of the century. wink
