Since there has been some discussion of late on Ameraucanas and the color of their eggs I thought I'd post some phtos of my Ameraucanas, past and present eggs. Please feel free to post photos of your Ameraucana, EEL or Araucana eggs too.

Ameraucanas lay a variety of shades.

Thank you Blue Egg Girl!! My two Ameraucana hens were killed in my dog attack and I miss those gorgeous eggs. I am hoping to find some Ameraucana chicks or hens soon! Those eggs of yours are beautiful!

I know! I know! I can just feel my blood pressure dropping 10 points when I sit and gaze at the barnyard birds. smile
I find eggs very soothing too. Such fun little tresures to find and the feel of them in your hand is quite pleasant too.
(I'm reeeally into my chickens!) wink

Here's an egg from my only EE pullet --- one of the 'males added for warmth' in my Ideal order, hahaha.

The male EEs are long gone (they were the wrong color for my flock), but I have a couple of 7 wk old Lakenvelder x EE chicks that might be suitable to breed her back to for more blue egg layers.

nice colors, i have a incubator full of the blue eggs i get from mine, or at least 15 but they are laying every day and im collecting them each week. Im scared to take a picture, it may make them not do well. I usually open it one time a week. Since i have a digital thermometer that does temperature and humidity, so i know if its low on humidity or not!
