For those of you that have raised ducks for meat, in a recent taste test, using the same oven, basic seasoning, etc., at the same time ...

Silver Appleyard beats Pekin, Buff Orpington and Magpie - in taste (mild, yet unique flavor), the carcass (full, not plump like a turkey, but very presentable, not like a deflated pup tent), moist and pretty tender as well (for a skinless roast).

I won't write off Buff Orpingtons, though they look like a deflated pup tent, they still have pretty good flavor, the best part is the back meat (though it ain't much!)

...Duck eggs, of course are superior to chicken eggs!
