As if there wasn't ENOUGH reason to run from a flock of geese!

Warning to the wise! If you ever get BIT by a goose...don't pull your finger out. Those serrations are SHARP! Cut like a daggum steak knife!

My late uncle found a goose stuck in the rocks on the South Head of the Hokianga harbour. She was trussed up and entangled in baling twine and must have been intended for someone's Christmas Dinner. She had taken a battering from the wild high waves of our west coast. He rescued her and took her home, and she rewarded him with many years of super eggs, and the best guard goose you could wish for.
