I recently purchased two geese at a little exhibition just for fun and to see how they were. I have a White Chinese and a Tolouse. Is it ok to raise them with my ducks? So far they seem like they enjoy being around the ducks and havn't caused any problems but am wondering if I am doing something wrong?

I have geese and ducks in same pen at night and they are fine together. The geese are definitly in charge tho. As day olds, until 3 months of age they were kept seperate. When feeding grains, I have to scatter it pretty good or geese will keep ducks from eating.

rob's right about the geese being in charge! The only real exception might be where muscovies and geese are concerned. My adult Muscovy drakes and the geese would always keep a wary eye on one another: the drakes were 2/3 the size of the geese and could be twice as mean to boot (that's it, I'm getting back my Muscovies!). The Muscovy females were always gentle however.
