I have 30 Manchurian pheasant eggs in a Hova-bator circulated air incubator. They were supposed to hatch on day 23-24 yet it is now day 25. I think I hear a few peeps coming from the incubator yet I can see no movement or cracks. I used an automatic turner, and I added water to the tray twice a week. The humidity however is difficult to get right in my house and this may be the problem. I incubated them at ~99.5 deg F. Anyone had pheasant eggs hatch out late before, and what was the hatch %? Thanks for any information/help!

It isn't unusual for pheasants to take an extra day or more to hatch. Ringnecks are not considered late at 25 days. Many ring necks are a mixture of different mutations and some take 25 days to hatch which is normal. One or two degrees variation in temps could cause the hatch to be off a day or two in either direction. Incubation times aren't exact, changes in temp, humidity, species of birds, inbreeding, or cross breeding can cause differences in dates.
