I HAD a roost for my chickens to sleep at night, but they outgrew it. So I built another one, which they broke. So NOW, there really isn't a roost for them, but they adapted by sleeping in the nest boxes! Is this fine for them? I'm pretty sure it is.

You should really get a roost for them because
Predators can get them easily in the nest boxes.
They also poop all night and then sit in it which isn't very healthy for them, and it is more natural for them to sit on a perch.
IDEAS: I have simply got a branch wedged from one end of the coop to the other and they love it.Also you can make a poop catching board by cutting a peice of wood or anything else that is stable and putting it underneath the roost so when the chickens poo it falls on the board rather than the bedding and all you have to do is take it out hose it down leave it to dry and put it back in.
Just some handy ideas wink
Good Luck!
