The 9 banties I got from my friend have grown and now they're only a fraction smaller than my RIRs.

So, I suppose time will tell. This chicken adventure has not only been expensive but MYSTERIOUS as well.

bantams will get larger with each generation without selection for desired size, just as large fowl will get smaller.
Look how much larger tame Muscovies and Mallards are than their wild counterparts. Plus you can compare hatchery type fowl with standard types, usually a big diff.

Hah! My bantam brahma ended up being three feet tall! Still, he's a big sweetie even if he's not bantie.
