Purebred rumpless aruacanas, and ameraucanas should lay a sky blue colored egg, an easter egger (sometimes mistakenly called an araucana), can lay anything from brown to green to blue to white, and everything in between.

No. A white egg is a white shell. A brown egg is a white shell with a brown coating applied in the oviduct. When it is warm from the hen you can scratch through the layers. A blue egg is a blue shell (peel the inside white membrane off and you'll see it is blue). A green egg is a blue shell with the brown coating over the top. Peel of the membrane on the inside and your green egg will prove to have a blue shell. The color is genetic and does not change.
