okay... i needed to know if u can breed bantams and large chicken. if the rooster is a large chicken, will it be okay with some banty hens?

I ended up with a bantam frizzle hen being mated by my barred rock roo. My bantams and large fowl all run around together. I don't make it a habit of hatching those type mixtures, but I saw the hen lay the egg and I had a lady wanting a solid black frizzle. Well I marked the egg and now I have a beautiful barred featherfooted smooth bantam hen. I see she didn't mate with the frizzle roo, but the big boy! The only thing you really have to be carefull about is the rooster hurting the hen if he is rough and her being too small. Now the little guy on the big hen, thats funny, they try so hard. :p

Like what tiffany said you just have to be careful because a larger Rooster can hurt a small Hen.
