Oh goodness theres LOTS of free web servers!

In past I've had a website on Yahoo Geocities.

Most have a 'Beginner web builder' program. That is easy to use. To do a basic website.

Good Luck! smile

Yes, there are alot of free ones out there and they are great, if you dont mind the advertising. Yahoo, Homestead, are a few.
I used a great 2 page one that was easy to use for a long time, at
www.81x.com
their 2 page is free, and if you want more pages, you can upgrade it to about $5.00 a month. Plus there is no advertising.

I stopped doing that one this past year when I learned how to create my own for $18 a year. I have Frontpage, so it was the most cost effective in the long run for me, otherwise, I would have stayed with 81x.

Why go free and have to put up with ads and poor customer service when you can get your own .com domain and unlimited pages for only $2.99 a month?

If you want people to trust you enough to buy from you, having your own dot com name is the best way to build their confidence. You can also use 1and1's website builder to create very professional websites.

I've been using them for several years and I'm extremely satisfied.

I would be more than happy to get you started. I could build you a site from scratch or use one of many free templates online. I use www.freewebz.com their are no ads, and it is easy to use.

You are absolutely correct Josh, 1and1 is where I get my domain from, but I get my hosting through ucvhost.com because they accept frontpage extensions. I think that $18.00 a year is better than $5.00 a month, but you are absolutely correct that 1and1 is a GREAT company to deal with. Have always been extremly helpful to me. smile

I agree that having to pay a little would look better than a free site with all that advertisment stuff... More people would buy stuff and not have to put up with all the ad's. They probley would trust me more to (a big thing in todays world). Thanks a bunch!
