I recently acquired a pair of White Faced Black Spanish Bantys.. they were part of a package deal with some Old English Bantys. I don't know anything about the Spanish and someone told me the other day that the large variety are non-sitting birds.. are the Bantams the same? This hen has 9 eggs already .. smile Thanks!

Another point. Bantam breeds are the minature of the standards and are alike in all respects.

Some WFBS lay a brown egg that is unacceptable--The bantam variety is not completely "made" and "stable" yet. The miniature variety has not been in existance taht long. You may see off color eggs. bad combs, bad white in the face (not enough), wings that are the wrong angle on the bird and bad tail sets.

The bantams are beautiful as are the Standards.

I have the bantam variety. My email is queqid@att.net.

Just curious, what is being used to make the WFBS bantams? We used LF black Hamburg roo on gold spangled Hamburg bantam hens for the black Hamburg bantams.
