Hello EVERYONE!

I just got back from Georgia, and was greeted with a basket of, 10 or so, eggs from my birds. I am so happy and can't wait for tomorrow.

Now that my NHR's have come into lay (20wks old) I plan on keeping them on a grower ration until the Barred rocks (13wks old) come into lay. According to what I have read some folks have done this with no problem in the past. What worries me is "CALCIUM", should I just feed them their egg shells back to them until the others catch up?

Good to be back and read up on the posts! BTW, I loved Georgia and am buying in Fayette County anybody around there? confused

Thanx ncbill.

Ronnie I guess that would make us neighbors really soon. Maybe we can compare some birds when I get set up down there? Have you had any problems mail ordering chicks down there in the past?

Ronnie,
I am moving within 2 months. How nice are your Buff Orps? How many do you have?

Our Buff Orps are very friendly and gentle. We have 2 each of the RIR, SLW,CW,WR,and B. Orps. That's all that we have room for. We would love to have more, just don't have the space. Have to make do with small lot.
