Green?? I've never seen that. By gray, do you mean cloudy? Fresh eggs have cloudy whites.

Well, you've stumped me. I hope somebody else responds. I thought I had seen it all where strange egg things were concerned. wink

Green eggs and ham? I'm not sure, but I personally wouldn't use those eggs! You are talking about the egg whites, and not the outer part of the yolk right? I'm just wanting to make sure I read this right. Is there a way you could post a picture?

The eggs were approx. 2 months aged. Only 2 eggs, used in same week, cracked into frying pan, no camera caught the action, laugh the egg whites clearly not right, they were not consumed, ick :p Thanks for the replies guys! I sure wish I knew, hmmmmmmm

Past summer I had an egg customer ask me the same question. WHat are you feeding your hens to get neon green whites? These eggs were not older than 3 days, very fresh. I asked if the egg had an 'off' odour. THey said no smell, looked fine except for the odd colour. They did not eat it. I have wondered about what caused it as I wish to avoid it in the future. But I have never seen it myself. Of course, just to people who pay for eggs eek
