Hello all, i am new to peafowl but i have a few in the incubator now given to me by my brother in law. I am looking for info on the type of pen and coop they will need. I live in North east Pa. so i have to deal with snowy winters. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jack

They will need a big run with a high roof. They like to jump and flutter around.

I agree! Jack, we have our peafowl in a pen that is 75' long, 28' wide and over 20' high in places where the top net wraps around trees with branches for roosting. The bigger you can make it, the better! We have only douglas fir trees for shelter for ours, but you might need more in your area. We get a lot of rain, but not much snow and the peafowl do just fine with the trees for shelter. We bought netting for the top... even if you clip wings these birds are powerful flyers. It's better to have a roof! wink
