WE are now proud owners of four turkeys two BB Whites and two Bronze (still little things 3 weeks or so) laugh , MY question is do we need to give them shots confused , back in the 60's my father worked on a turkey farm he said they gave them three shots in the neck before they sent them off to be turkey dinners,Thank you in advance

I wouldn't give them any shots that I can think of. On a good medicated starter feed they ought to get a good start,and then put them onto a commercial turkey grower and stand back and watch them grow. smile Poults grown in small situations won't be under stress like commercially grown birds, so they should do really well for you.

I can't come up with any ideas about what they would give a bird for a shot right before slaughter, with the exception of vit. B shots so they handle the stress better, or maybe there's something they give them so they don't dehydrate so much, but both of those are really wild guesses.
