I have 5 white breasted hybrids, currently 2wks old. How much square footage does each bird need in the coop? I understand they shouldn't be raised with chickens because of the different feed. Could I just give them a separate room in the coop (& their food)for nights and turn them out with the chickens (& chicken food)during the day? Is there a better way?

Thanks
Chilly

Thats what I did with no problems. I only had mine on the game bird till about 3 or 4 months old, that stuff cost to much! They now have there own shelter, but they do all run together. If the pen is big enough for the hens and turkeys I don't see why thier should be a problem. I have 13 turkey, 13 guinea and about 50+ chickens, so the turkey were just to big to stay in the same pen,12x12, a couple still like to roost there because thats where they were raised, but thats okay, I sold some chickens so there is a little more room. I have enough roost that nobody has to touch each other.
