Can anyone help me with Breeding Season Symptoms with my Tom. We had a real cold snap and lots of rain and he looked really miserable & off his food for a couple of days, but displaying twice as much. He has now picked up but still not right. I have the vet calling out tomorrow to check him out but I wondered if it could be to do with breeding season. I live in NSW Australia and we are just starting to come out of spring and into summer.

Was the vet visit successful in sorting out your turkey concern?

I am not sure about your weather there but I raised Heritage Turkeys for a while and if they are strutting they will usually be ok. I dont know what kind you have but the single breasted heritage birds are quite sturdy.

Hi there, sorry for the huge delay in replying to your last post. Ive had dreadful computer problems and have only just sorted it out.
Yes I had the vet out and he couldnt see anything wrong. George is ok now so I wonder if he had picked up a bug or something.
Thank you for your help. laugh
