Can anyone give me any advice on showing turkeys? I am hoping to enter a couple of my Bourbon Red's and possible a Blue Slate at some shows I go to with my regular show birds. How much different, if any is exhibiting turkeys?

Make sure they are clean and dusted for bugs. Any good judge will get down on their knees to check their keel bone. While down there, they will have a good chance to inspect for health and bugs.

It's also good to cage train the turkeys so that they don't completely freak out at the show. Slates often don't show well for this reason.

Be prepared to place a solid barrier between your birds and the one being shown next to you. Sometimes, two strangers can really get their dander up and get themselves bloody by fighting through the wire barrier.

That's about it. In all reality, turkeys are much easier to show than chickens.
