At what age is it normal for a turkey to start laying eggs? I purchased hens that were already laying but now I have many poults that are growing rather quickly and would like to know how old they need to be to start laying. thanks smile

Evening Ash
I had a pair of Royal Palms that the hen started laying at about 9-10 months of age and became broody shortly there after. Unfortunatley she has passed on.

I have just had a young turkey hatch her first batch of chicks and she is only 10 months old. She's a slate.
Some of the other hens from her hatching are sitting as well.
cheers Jan
