I was given two silkie hens from my niece, who lives a mile from me. We have had them for about two and a half weeks. Yesterday morning I noticed one of the hens tail was slightly off to the left side. This morning it was severely off to the left. Tonight she is wobbly and stumbles when she moves fast. Could this be Maraks? I do not have any chickens that have been vaccinated. I've never had a problem in the year that I have had chickens. My niece has not lost any chickens to disease. My adolescent rooster got into the barn day before yesterday. I did not find any injury to the hen, though he did try to mount her. Thanks for any advice.
