Hello all,

I have a guinea; Iím sure itís female and has a nasty impacted crop. Iíve had swollen crops before in my hensótwo totalóand both times theyíve cleared on their own. My guineaís hasnít. Iíve done the research and Iím still trying to help her pass it, with oil and soft foods, and massaging.

The absolute last resort is cutting her open, I havenít done that, but Iíve read some people here have done it; I need to know what kind of thread to use to stitch her back up with. And if I have to sew up the crop too, or will it heal on its own and I should just stitch the skin?

Please help me out.

thanks, sm8
