I have been raising a batch of guinea hens, 30 to begin with, I sold 14 and one died early on. I have 15 left. And today when I went out to check them one was looking pretty droopy. Her wings were dragging and she had her head down. I isolated her right away but have been unable to find any info about treating a sick guinea hen. I will go out again in a little while and see if I can see what her droppings look like. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Michaele

I went to the feed store and got some antibiotic and electrolites for the guinea. I kept her isolated and with a heat lamp over night, and she seemed much better by morning. She was so distressed at being away from the other guineas that she was spending a lot of time pacing back and forth crying. A few of the other guineas looked a bit puffed up too, so I decided to just put her back with the flock and treat all of them.

Again, any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Michaele
