Why have we not seen this type of colore yet... confused I mean instead of buff which is a paler different color, I think a self Cream bird would look fantastic as it will have briliant yellow color

Cream

Buff

could using S/s+ instead of cream on an otherwise eWh/eWh, Co,Co work... confused ala buff columbian Brahma? they seem to be simple buffs...and Golden S/s+ seems to be as briliant as Cream

just a thought...thats all whistle

Don't forget that Co inhibits a lot of the golden effect in het silvers. Maybe Db is better.

I've wondered the same thing about a solid cream colored bird. Could you not just add lavender to a buff bird? It would not be as brilliant, but would still be striking I think.

I think you are talking about isabellas. The first word to come to my mouth is pale. Brilliant and striking is not what I would call them.

Many years ago I read that the name of the colour is derived from Spanish queen Isabella I, who suffered from incontinence and the colour is in reference to her (originally white) underwear. Is this true?(any Spaniard to confirm?)

Mr Henk I hope you dont mind me using your outstading birds to show some of my points... whistle

this Rich self yellow color I am after, its being a quest for me since always, not to long ago I thoght that a cross between a silver duckwing male to a rich buff female would give me that bird BUT...your birds prove otherwise... cry

even on Rich buff the resulting males are white instead of Golden(the color)
are they based on Co or Db? would a cross between a NHR to that silver male produce that Rich yellow bird I am after... confused and I think if one is to use Cream then one needs to start with a Rich red... grin
