Greetings all.
I am new here.

Here is a picture of the mobile skid pen we use to raise our pastured broilers in the summer here in Canada.
We built it ourselves, it measures 8 feet X 16 feet. It is pulled by our tractor or truck when the birds need fresh pasture.

Cheers from Swallowtail Farm.

This is our pasture pen. We use poultry netting (not shown) to contain the birds in a small paddock and move as needed. We house about 100 birds at a time in this unit.
Cheers on a cold February night from Swallowtail Farm

they are, we pride ourselves in raising happy birds, they give us flavourful, healthy meat. we give the birds the best life possible at our farm and it begins with the fresh air, clean water and a place to graze and roam naturally.

Hi,

I am so excited to be on this forum. I like to raise chickens and have been doing it for 5 years now. I also like to build my own chicken coop because I like to get involve with things...

I have to say that if you don't know what are you doing is hard to build a chicken coop but with the right tools and guidance it can be done and it's fun to do it.

Cheers.
