How do I fix the avatar to prevent the board from stretching it? I made it the required pixel size, but it stretches the picture taller on my posts.

I hope some one else can help with this one. I had a hard time getting my avatar to work. 80 x 80 is the correct size. Not knowing what it should look like I can not tell in what way it is stretched. Top to bottom or side to side?

Hey CJR Ok , had to look it up. In computing, an avatar is the graphical representation of the user or the user's alter ego or character. It may take either a three-dimensional form, as in games or virtual worlds, or a two-dimensional form as an icon in Internet forums and other online communities. It can also refer to a text construct found on early systems such as MUDs. It is an object representing the user. The term "avatar" can also refer to the personality connected with the screen name, or handle, of an Internet user. Rog

Giggle! Yes, the little pic on the left has been stretched and is making me look more gigantic than I already am at almost 6 foot. I'm not quite a giant, but the photo makes me look like one! It's top to bottom, and it looks normal until I post - then it gets stretched, but when I view it to change the photo in the settings? It's normal.

The answer may be to stretch it the other way, so it makes you look short and plump! Then, when it loads, it may be just perfect!

Of course since none of us actually know you, you look fine to us! whistle

Jenks, I viewed your profile from the control panel and found that your avatar pic is 80 X 65 pixels. When it loads in the classroom it is stretched to be equal height to width. You need to adjust the original pic to equal dimensions so it won't stretch.

Viewing the original I can now see the stretch you are talking about.
