I have 3 Dutch bantam roos that always seem to be in a continuous state of molting, since July or so. They are constantly getting new hackle feathers, that's where it's the most obvious, but also new body feathers. Their tailfeathers fell out in June/July, but are now coming in pretty good, and seem to be staying in.
They are being fed 18 percent protein all purpose poultry feed, don't have any bugs on them, and the feathers are not being pulled out by their hens, as far as I can tell. They get sunshine and green grass, always have clean water and feed in front of them. It's been in the 60's here, so not too hot. They are penned seperately with a hen or two to keep them company.
Any ideas? Are they just taking a long time? Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance!
Susie
