There is advanced genetic information being posted continually on the topic line above: GENETICS and SELECTED BREEDING, and I hope Dutch Bantam breeders will read it all, and maybe understand some of it better than I do. However, it is all so useful and does help us with "new variety" breeding and what we should research before we completely "mess up" a great variety in our breed. I am gleaning useful parts for an experimental breeding project with the Cream Mille Fleur Dutch.
There was a good session on breeding BLACKS, to save and to study. Our Black Dutch Bantams are still a work in progress, and are such a popular variety that some genetics work could help them. (It has been going on in UK and Holland for some time, and correct Standard birds are increasingly being produced.)

Grateful THANKS to those who post on the GENETICS site and share their information!!!!
