I have a question that has been bugging me for quite some time.
I own sex-links as well, and they were the first variety i ever raised. though i've not heard of black & white speckled or solid white, i do own a red comet { also known as a red Sex-link}, which is white and red. Most varieties of chickens, such as plymouth rocks have many varieties. this probably comes from breeders who wanted to try a variety of crosses with their birds. Personally, i've always injoyed finding unusual varieties, and would some day like to breed my own.
Can Sex-Links be: Black and White speckled, Solid White,or White with a red saddle ?
I've had chickens for 3 years and have always had sex-links and Rhode Island Reds, but these chickens seem kind of different.
If they are all Sex-Links, why do breeders make such a huge variety? It seems confusing to me.
Thanks.....
