Hi - I am just starting with some Partridge Rocks here in Anchorage Alaska. I was wondering if anyone else is raising them? I ordered them from McMurray Hatchery. Were did you get yours? How do they do for eggs, meat size and color patterns? Are yours smaller then the other varieties of Rocks? Thanks

Hi-

I also have partrige rocks from Murray McMurray hatchery. They lay big dark brown eggs and are patterened brown with lighter lacing on neck. McMurray only sells birds for meat/egg purposes, so they aren't show quality, but make good eating birds/egg-producers and pets. They are no comparrison to the standard, as far as sizes go, so yes, they will be considerably smaller, but not as small as my barred rock bantams :)
