Are they White Rocks??

The Classroom @ The Coop: Plymouth Rocks - : Are they White Rocks??

I got a group of chicks at Easter time. They are approx. 3 months old now. I was told they were white leghorns but they are enormous!

The dominant cockerel weighs in the neighborhood of 9 lbs. The 2nd in command is even larger. I've not weighed him. Had to weigh the first one because he had a crop infection and had to be vetted.

The pullets are also quite heavy. MUCH larger than they should be if they are leghorns. Possibly twice the size and only 3 months old!

My 3rd cockerel is the same size as the others in appearance but when you pick him up he's very light tho he's not thin. He feels well fleshed but he weighs easily half what the dominant cockerel weighs.

There are some pictures, tho not the most recent at http://www.geocities.com/wolfmist1214a/chickens.html

I just want to know what breed they are. LOL.

Please feel free to email me directly at dshaw@toad.net

Thanks!

They are definately not leghorns. If you got them from a pet store, they are probably production strain rocks.
