I have a question about my 4 quails. They are still young and I think are too small to cut thier wings. I had my birds out yesterday while I cleaned thier cage which they are living in until they are big enough to be with the other fowl population here. They tried to fly away several times. They are only about a month old. Are they too young to clip thier wings? And will they become domesticated enough to keep out or do I need to have some type of cover on the pen when they are put in there? I'm worried they may fly away or get out and be harmed or killed by our dog when he's out to run for his daily run.
