You could have lice, mites, or worms. I've never experienced these problems myself, so I offer this possibility because of other posts I've read here on "the COOP."

Tommy, When a bird limps or seems to have a broken leg the first thought is that the bird has Marek's Disease. (Chickens almost never have a broken leg--can fly down from a roof top with no harm). Other birds pick on one that acts "differently" and so any chicken that doesn't act normally, should be separated, so the others don't peck and injure (even kill) the sick bird. If it was Marek's Disease, there is little you could have done for the rooster, as it is usually fatal, and there is no treatment other than separation and care with feeding. Very sorry, and watch your other birds for similar limping. CJR
day i noticed that our roosters butt area feathers were
missing i thaught it was because he was mating too
much(23 chickens).then some chickens were just like the
roosters so i asked my dad what it could be, he said it
was because they were laying eggs so much.i believed
all that until i found our rooster laying limp on the
floor.what could it be?Any help would be appreciated

Could you give us more symtoms, condition of comb, whether the bird is eating or drinking, anything else unusual you've noticed about this rooster? The more info the better.
