We purchased a trio of East Indies for my son who show through 4-H the fall of 98. They were very good show quality and proved them selves at several shows in 99 as well as produced a few nice offspring. Our experience is more with poultry. While the drake had a few tiny white feathers under his neck by the bill the ducks were all black. The feet on the trio were glossy black as well. Now we are seeing that the upper parts of feet and shanks are turning yellow. Is this normal? Is it their diet? Age? Or something bred into these ducks?

Hi,East Indies will get white and yellow feathers as they age.Even the best show birds. So it's just age.Hope this helps,Callpen
