I have a pair of geese the female has made a nest and has 5 eggs in it but don't know if she is setting or not now can i tell. and how long will it take to hatch the eggs.
She, may not be finished laying yet. When she starts to sit, she will be there and you'll notice. Approximately 28-34 days to hatch.
We had three baby ducklings killed in our coop last night along with the remaining eggs in the nest. THe goose finally hatched her three gooslings and they were in the chicken yard too. My mom and dad think that the goose killed the ducklings? What do you think?
A friend of mine would like to know-if a male goose can be taken away from the female after she has started laying? Or does each egg have to be fertilized?Male goose is too aggresive W/female!
