Hello,

Please help. We have two Brown Chinese Geese who have "adopted" us. We do not know where they came from, they just showed up.

Our problem is that we don't know how to tell if they are male or female. Please advise.

Also, any other advice regarding this breed will be very welcome. We do live on a very small lake so they have water.

Hi, I don't know how old your geese are. But, the surest way I can tell on our chinese is if they are old enough the males will have a great big nob above
his beak where the females will be smaller. The heads are shaped different with the females being somewhat more refined. The female has a shorter neck and is smaller in stature.
I love the brown chinese, I think they are the most elegant of geese. Can be very freindly,too.

Can anyone help me. My brown Chinese just laid two eggs (didn't know she was a she). I obtained two brown Chinese, 2 white African and 1 rooster that were abandoned in a city park. The browns and rooster get along great and are people friendly. The whites hate everyone and everything. Do I take the eggs away from the layer (I'm not set up to raise goslings and don't know if they have been fertilized or not)? HELP!

I have a Pair of Brown China Geese. These birds, I belive, and have been told, are of show quality. The question I have is just exactly what am I looking for in show quality, and what shows can I enter them in?

So far, all of the fairs I have contacted have told me, rather rudely I might add, that I have to be either 4-H or SSA or they don't want my birds.

I also have what I belive are Show quality Indian Runner Ducks (a pair). In their case, what do I look for in show quality?

I would be happy to photograph them and email them to whomever may want to take a look-see and guide me further.

Any help would be appreciated.
