I have 2 ducks. One is a Campbell Hen and the other is a Rouen Drake. They are 3 months old and fairly good sized. They have started flying out of their pen. I hate to clip but we have many dogs in the area and I don't want my ducks hurt. Please help I know it should be fairly simple I just want to do it right.

Hold the duck's right wing in your left hand with it's tail against you. Using your right hand cut about 7-8 feathers (flight feathers), from right to left, off the bottom row. ONLY do this on ONE WING. It renders the duck unbalanced for flight.
Generally speaking both those breeds shouldn't be able to really fly...maybe just jump & flutter a bit. Sounds like your ducks are overachievers. :-)
Good luck.
