My buff cohin cock has suddenly begun to grow some of his feathers sideways. They come out of his neck and to the right. He is 1 year, 4 months. He has been an excellent show bird, so what happened?
I also have a chicken with the same thing! There are sideways "wisps" just under the facial area on her neck. I would also be interested as to what is causing this. I hope this is not genetic becuase I am doing some experimenting with her rare dalmation-like spotted feather patterns.
