HELP !!!
Have all the messages up to 14 dec 2000 disappeared ? If so, what a pity, can they be put on again ?
Or is something wrong with my Internet-connection ? The other topics seem OK.
SOMEBODY PLEASE EASE MY FEARS !
Poultry Management and Health are such great sources of information that up to now I found answers to almost all my questions. As a matter of fact, I even found answers to questions I never thought about.
Thanks to all you expert chicken lovers. Anny.

Anny, don't know what happened to the messages, but its not just you. There is also nothing left under the classifieds. Don't know whats going on, but wanted to let you know I can't find them either. Mina

I wrote to Loren Hadley today to ask about this. It appears that only these two lists changed. I hope this can be put into an archive so people can search it. I will let you know what I find out about it. Hopefully they can put it back up.

i actually like the fact that part of the board disappeared. That way we can start fresh.

By Teri Reynolds (Terirey) on Sunday, January 14, 2001 - 09:04 pm:

It would be great to be able to reference past posts in a separate archive. That way we can still take advantage of the knowledge pool without scrolling through all the older messages to get to the new ones.

Thank you to Dr. Bruce Smith and to Loren Hadley for taking a look at this possibility.

Still no answer from Loren Hadley ?

By Cjeanr on Friday, January 26, 2001 - 12:47 pm:

Since designing the COOP, some years ago, Loren has a change of work, and simply is too busy with his work to take an active management of the Classroom. Rarely hear from him, and would surely like to!! In time. . . CJR

Thanks CJR. I suppose that's the difference between research and business. anny

I can confirm what CJR says. I have written three times, all with no answer. This is odd, because usually he replies after the first couple of messages. I will keep trying.

Dr. Bruce, thanks!!
Good I read through it all before it disappeared. I sure learn a lot from you all.

CJR, whenever you go to Holland again and need an interpreter: I am belgian (flemish, which means I speak Dutch) and my English is quite good; just let me know. anny

Anny, I plan to go again this year, as soon as I get dates of shows where a large entry of Dutch Bantams can be expected. It also depends on availability of a good Air Fare. The NoordShow is a favorite, the first weekend in January--at Zuidlaren, and I like to hit a big show in England on the same trip. Their shows keep getting later and later. This year, I went to Stafford , England, the 16,17 of December and never did get my Christmas sorted out! But 5 judges from Holland came over to do the Dutch Bantams, and 3 are friends I was happy to see again. If I go to England first, sometimes I cross the Channel, Dover to Oostend and take the train on into The Netherlands. I am a very old lady, but so far, still able to travel--and raise my bantams! And enjoy it! Would indeed like to meet you! CJR

CJR, you mentioned somewhere that you have 80 years experience with chickens so you must indeed be a very wise lady. I love reading you on the board and I tried to read your articles but most if it is Chinese to me. I know nothing about genetics.
I don't know where Zuidlaren is, sounds like up north, must look it up.
I live in a Brussels'suburb and that is only about 65 miles from Oostend. I have a car in which I could drive you around and I have a modest house in which I would be happy to have you stay for a couple of days whenever it would be convenient for you.
Just let me know. Anny

Anny, Yes, Zuidlaren, and the NoordShow includes a number of regional North Holland breeds of chickens we never see--lovely! And it is a little South of Groningen, not on the rail, so I take the train-taxi. Train from Schipohl to Amsterdam to Groningen, taxi to Zuidlaren. Or when I came from England by ferry to Oostend and rail to the North. It is very easy, and with on line information, I can tell the fare, the train schedules, where to change trains, and make hotel reservations. And how lovely of you to offer to help! Will indeed be in touch as I learn the dates of the Shows in both Holland and England. (And if I exaggerated a bit on the 80 years of experience--it was by very little!) CJR

Anny, I have not been able to send pictures, except directly to e-mail addresses. I will send you some of my poultry houses--in my backyard. No one, who has not been to the "Low Countries" and seen the lovely coops and arrangements for poultry in backyards, right in residential areas, can imagine how attractive they are, and how beautifully the poultry are kept. Since the pictures are on different rolls and stored by my Photoprovider, I will send them in several e-mails. CJR

CJR, I tried but your image is neither gif or jpg. I will see what I can do about it. Anny

By Cjeanr on Thursday, February 1, 2001 - 12:41 pm:

Anny, "Photoworks", for some reason, does not allow me to forward my pictures to other servers for sending to webpages. They do the sending from archive storage of my pictures, only to e-mail addresses. But there are ways to convert--I just don't know how. One of my Dutch Bantam friends can do it for the Club website.

I also sent other pictures to you last night, but they did not send--I will try later. CJR

CJR, you seem to be on your computer day and night, do you ever sleep?
I believe it is possible to convert files to other formats but I don't know how neither. I will ask my son, he should know.
I understand you have pictures on your Club website, I would like to see them, can you give the URL?
By the way, I printed your picture on photopaper and it looks very nice.
Thanks again, Anny.
