This spring I would like to release ten guinea hens a New Hamphire rooster and two buff brahma bantys roosters out. The problem is that we have a huge hawk and I am pretty sure two falcons that fly around our farm. What are the chances of survival for these birds against these predators of prey. My roosters are beating up my hens pretty bad so they must go and I would like to have the guineas running around the farm. Any suggestions?

I don't really know how they would do. We just keep ours in a completely covered house. The roof of the yard is chicken wire, so that they can still get sun...etc. The chances might be slim, considering all the other predators- racoons, coyotes, incl. the falcons and the hawks. You might even rather save the rest of your flock by getting rid of the roosters. Good luck! Let us know what you decided to do.
