I have a these two chickens i call them wild because they are the only ones who rather sleep in a tree, and go further away from the yard than the other birds. Well I was wonder er ing should I let them out of the cage to roam free. The cockeral came from this rooster I purchased last year who fathered them . Thier mother was very broody she hacth a clucth as soon as I let her go were she wanted, I was wondering since her mother was broody does that means she will also be. I planed on letting the two birds that look wild to me because the survived atacks by predators with out getting harmed go free to see if they would go broody. their the only one who fly in trees.should I let them loose come spring.
It all depends on how attached you are to them. If you like them, you probably wouldn't want to let them go free. They would have a harder time of surviving with all the predators. The safe thing to do for them, is to keep them caged like all the others. I hope this helps!!! Good luck.
