Can anyone tell me what this is??
Two of my hens have been listless for a few days now. I found big whitish lumps on the feathers around their vent. On single feathers the lumps look like white beans, other lumps are bigger with several feathers sticking together. Thanks, Joy.

Lice or mites.

It sounds like lice to me. Just get the clumps off and scrub your coop with soapy water. You might even want to dust your coop as well. Good luck.

Angela, thank for your advice.
I already received a lot of information on "poultry health" and its lice allright. I cleaned out the coop very thoroughly and I am dusting and spraying every couple of days.
I can't get those clumps off tho, they stick really tight. Thanks again, Joy.
