Housing pygmy goats and chickens together

The Classroom @ The Coop: management archive 2: Housing pygmy goats and chickens together

I have inherited a pen with two pygmy goats in it. Due to the lay of the land, If I want to raise chickens it will have to be where the goats are now. My question is this - Should I get rid of the goats or can the chickens and the goats be kept in the same pen?

We have both chickens and goats - not in the same pen. I know chickens like to eat the worms in the goat "berries" and the goats like to eat the corn and scratch the chickens leave. I even let my goats in the chicken house (its 12 x24) to clean up the feed they spill over in the floor. The goats to try to push the chickens away when they are eating but so far have not hurt any, the chickens can get away pretty quick. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info Lesa. Due to a problem with the billy goat and my dog, I found a nice lady that loves goats and actually has the room to raise them.
